The best summers on Lake Winnipesaukee have never been measured in days.
They are remembered in generations.
They are the summers when everyone was able to come. When grandparents had coffee overlooking the lake while the house slowly woke. When cousins spent the day in the water and parents stayed at the table long after dinner. When old friends arrived with their families and picked up exactly where they left off.
True North Lodge was made for those summers.
Privately set at the end of a quiet road on a beautiful point of land in Moultonborough, True North Lodge brings together everything generations have loved about Lake Winnipesaukee: sweeping water views, a sandy beach, boating from your own dock, long days outside, and enough space to bring the people who matter most.
Designed for up to 18 guests, the estate includes a beautiful post-and-beam Main House, a private suite above the garage, and a separate Carriage House. It is an ideal arrangement for extended families, multiple generations, and friends vacationing together. Everyone can share the same experience while still having the space and privacy that make a week together comfortable.
Inside the Main House, soaring timber beams, warm wood floors, and expansive windows keep the lake at the center of the home.
The great room flows naturally into the chef\'s kitchen and dining area, creating a welcoming gathering place for everything from breakfast before a morning on the water to dinners that linger well into the evening. Just beyond, the covered lakeside porch offers a peaceful place to begin and end the day overlooking Winnipesaukee.
The main level also includes a comfortable den and primary suite with a king bed and private en-suite bathroom.
Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms and an open loft with television, DVDs, and games. The lower level offers a large family room, media and entertainment area, kitchenette, and full bathroom, providing another place for everyone to gather or spread out.
Above the garage, a private suite with a king bed, full kitchen, living area, and bathroom creates a retreat of its own.
The separate Carriage House adds another complete residence with its own kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, and three bedrooms. Grandparents, extended family, or friends can enjoy their own space while remaining part of everything happening at the Main House and waterfront.
Outside is where life at True North Lodge really begins.
Landscaped grounds lead toward peaceful waterfront sitting areas and a gradual sandy beach. Swim before breakfast. Spend the afternoon along the shoreline. Find a chair overlooking the water and lose track of time.
For boaters, four dock slips, each accommodating boats up to 25 feet, put Lake Winnipesaukee at your doorstep. Head out for a morning cruise, take the kids tubing, explore the islands, stop somewhere for lunch, or stay on the water until the afternoon light begins to change.
Then point the boat toward home.
Back on shore, challenge the family to a game on the private pickleball court, play a round of pool, relax on the deck, or settle in beside the water.
Generous outdoor seating, decks and patios, a firepit, two gas grills, and a planned outdoor kitchen create inviting spaces for summer meals, conversation, and evenings outside.
And then comes that unmistakable part of a Winnipesaukee day.
The boat is tied up. Wet bathing suits are traded for sweatshirts. Dinner is coming off the grill. The lake begins to quiet, someone lights the fire, and nobody seems quite ready to go inside.
These are the moments that become traditions without anyone planning them.
A child learning to swim from the beach.
A grandparent teaching someone to fish.
Cousins growing up together one summer at a time.
Friends telling the same stories around the fire.
The family photograph everyone reluctantly gathers for and treasures years later.
Someday, the children will be older. Families will grow. Life will change, as it always does.
But someone will mention that summer on Winnipesaukee, and everyone will remember.
The morning view from the porch. The sound of laughter coming from the water. The boat waiting at the dock. Dinner outside. One more evening around the fire.
Lake Winnipesaukee has a way of turning ordinary moments into family traditions.
True North Lodge gives you a beautiful place for those moments to happen.
And perhaps, summer after summer, a place to come back to.
